Supporting Safety Through AIMS Scholarships
The IAAPA Foundation is honored to provide scholarships to the AIMS Safety Seminar in memory of Alan Ramsay who served on the AIMS Education Committee and was passionate about promoting safety in the Amusement Industry.
What's Included
These scholarships are available for the AIMS International Safety Seminar in Orlando, Florida. Classes are held all day Monday through Friday, with an opening reception on Sunday evening before the event. The scholarships cover tuition, class materials, continuing education certificate(s) lunch and two snacks each day. Test fees, lodging and transportation are not included.
IAAPA Foundation / Alan Ramsay Scholarship
The amusement industry lost a dear friend in 2011 when Alan Ramsay passed away at the young age of 41. Alan was a friend to anyone he met and a true fan of our industry, possessing a passion and commitment for the amusement industry. Alan served on the AIMS Education Committee and was instrumental in providing many of the recommendations for the AIMS International Safety Seminar to the AIMS Board of Directors.
In tribute to Alan, IAAPA is honored to provide a select number of scholarships to the AIMS International Safety Seminar in his name. Alan is missed, but his positive impact on the industry will not be forgotten.

Loretta Aldrich Scholarship
In honor of Loretta Aldrich’s lifelong commitment to industry safety and her longstanding service to AIMS International, a scholarship to attend the Annual AIMS Safety Seminar will be awarded to a young professional annually.
The Loretta Aldrich Scholarship will be awarded annually to the Young Professional who demonstrates a commitment to industry safety and a willingness to pay-it-forward to the next generation of amusement safety professionals in line with Loretta’s lifelong pursuit.

OABA Industry Training & Certification Scholarship
As the oldest and largest trade association representing the Mobile Amusement Industry, the OABA believes that education is one of the keys to preserving and constantly improving our industry today and for generations to come. To qualify, applicants must be a first-time attendee and an OABA member or employee of a member organization.
