FAQs

AIMS offers a variety of certifications. Please visit our Certifications page to learn about all available certifications and respective requirements.

Testing for all certification types are offered in-person at the annual AIMS seminar or a partner event. Level I exams are offered online quarterly.

None. You do not require CEUs to test for any level I certification. CEUs are needed to renew and, depending on the certification level and type, are required as a prerequisite for higher level certifications. See the certification guide for more details.

If you are using a different email than you used previously, the system will create a new profile. Please email info@aimsintl.org so the team can merge your profiles. This will allow you to see all of your certifications and CEUs in one profile.

All certifications are valid for two years.

Please login to your AIMSConnectED profile to view your certification expiration date.

If you hold multiple levels of the same certification, you do not need to renew the lower-level certification.

Prior to the expiration date, you must complete a Renewal Application online. The renewal fee is $75. Renewal Requirements:

  • Documentation of both education and employment experience must be included with all applications and renewals.
  • 4 CEU (40 hours) earned during the renewal period. CEUs are available annually at the AIMS International Safety Seminar, online at AIMSConnectEd, and other AIMS approved curriculum.
  • Ride Inspector certification exams and renewal applications require a valid eye exam or Eye Examination Self-Certification Form.

Attending the seminar allows you to earn the required CEUs for renewal. However, it does not automatically renew your certification. Seminar attendees are required to select the renewal add-on during the registration process and submit a renewal application. If you did not, please click here to submit a renewal application. The renewal fee is $75 per certification.

The speaker agreement is required to formally authorize your participation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, intellectual property rights, and to prevent sales-driven pitches. It binds you to using official templates, submitting materials in advance, and confirming your role in the educational program. You also agree to use branded PowerPoint templates, meet deadlines for materials, and abide by attendee conduct codes.

No. Our certifications are based on your general education, work experience, and industry knowledge. We do not have exam questions that are derived from specific course content you must have attended prior.

As the course content evolves continuously, a “Live” version is not always available. You can download the full course listing from last year’s seminar as an example of what to expect at the next event.

Based on attendee feedback, we chose a higher-quality venue to enhance your experience, which led to higher room rates.

Sponsors are a key element of the annual AIMS International Safety Seminar’s success. Please review the sponsor packet available on the AIMS International Safety Seminar page for more information regarding sponsorship as well as available packages.

No. It is highly recommended that sponsors load-in between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on registration day; however, it is not required. Sponsors typically load in on registration day and load out on Thursday evening or Friday morning. The space does not need to be staffed the entire week, although it is recommended as attendees visit with sponsors on their breaks through the week. Classes run 8:00 am-5:00 pm daily, with breaks in the final 10-15 minutes of each hour.

Each sponsor receives a 6’ table and two chairs. The space itself is 7-8’ wide with limited space for full tradeshow backdrops. Although some do bring 8’f backdrops, most use 3’ pull-up banners. Power is available along the wall, but a lengthy extension cord (not provided) is recommended.
