Bio: Bob Conway is a 27 year Navy veteran and has been with the Walt Disney Company since October 2012.  He received a BS in Naval Architecture and commission from the United States Naval Academy in 1985 and then reported to Naval Aviation Schools Command in Pensacola Florida in July 1985 and earned his rotary-wing aviation wings in August 1986. After flight training, Bob flew the SH-3H Sea King with the Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron FIFTEEN (HS-15) Red Lions and with the HS-1 Sea Horses as a flight instructor.  Bob was also a catapult and arresting gear officer aboard the USS SARATOGA (CV 60) and went on to earn an MS (with distinction) in aeronautical engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California in 1996.  He went back to fly the H-60 F/H Seahawk with HS-15 while serving as the head of the Aviation Safety, Training and finally the Operations department.  Bob was the officer in charge of the COMHSWINGPAC Weapons and Tactics Unit and then the commanding officer of the HS-5 Nightdippers followed by a tour as the navigator of the USS NIMITZ (CVN-68).    Bob also served as Commander Naval Air Forces Assistant Chief of Staff (Safety) where he managed the Navy Aviation safety program.  Bob’s last tour was as the Director of the School of Naval Aviation Safety from 2010 until his retirement from active duty in September 2012.  Bob is currently the Manager of Quality Engineering for Worldwide Safety and Assurance at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. body { background: #FFF; } body { background: #FFF; } body { background: #FFF; }
